There’s no doubt that Fern Records cares about what they release. It’s amazing how well all these songs have the same vibe. Every single song sounds like it belongs on this tape. I haven’t took the time, but I’m pretty sure I could listen to every band’s Bandcamp. It makes me wonder how they came about finding all of these gems. My favorite songs are The Destroyer by Sundiver and Ballad of the Distant Lovers by The Most Americans. I’m not going to act like I can explain how each band sounds by just hearing one of their songs on a mixtape. The album comes across as very melodic even though there are a few different genres. It just works. Hear for yourself at: http://fernrecordsmusic.bandcamp.com/ I recommend checking out all of the bands Bandcamps @n. penston - completche douahmhttp://npenston.bandcamp.comthe most americanshttp://themostamericans.tumblr.comtoasthttp://toastofficial.bandcamp.comvarsityhttp://varsitychicago.bandcamp.comnaomihttp://naomiband.bandcamp.comdavid alfonso Mmartinezhttp://vello.bandcamp.comphone homehttp://phonehome.bandcamp.comtaking medshttp://takingmeds.bandcamp.com14 foot 1http://14foot1.bandcamp.comsundiverhttp://sundivermusic.bandcamp.comthe squidshttp://thesquids.bandcamp.comman your horsehttp://manyourhorse.bandcamp.com

r/cassetteculture cover compilation.

It looks like the Fleeting Youth Tape is going to be awhile (artwork and music is insane though). A tapehead alien shirt is in the works. But we need to sell a few more r/cassetteculture shirts first. BUY NOW! And Seizure Man’s tape won’t be out until CSD. Therefore, send me your covers!

We can’t release them on cassette because we WILL get a cease and desist letter. No joke… it has happened. Undercovers is my favorite r/cassetteculture compilation. The songs you guys covered were awesome, and I want more. I’m going to try something different and mail out musical postcards like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2aWtAKVb4c I want it done quickly! I’ll be designing the postcards under the Serpentine Roads label. Added to http://rcassetteculture.bandcamp.com/ thereafter.

Send a bandcamp/soundcloud download link or attach a song to an email to NEZTOK@gmail.com with the title “Cover Compilation.”

I’m naming it Rituals.

I think you should reconsider. Why not just scale back? Anyway, you made a lot of friends, I’m sure ,and the Austin Cassette Fest was a hit. Good luck with whatever you do.

Get over yourselves.

I’m the one that instigates many of the projects on r/cassetteculture. Honestly, I consider myself to be a good person. I want everyone to get the credit they deserve. I want to help the labels out. I ask for no money whatsoever. I’ve made a few mistakes as Moderator as I’m learning as I go along. I do not want to make enemies… and I think we should all stick together to make it all work. So if I sent you a Facebook friend request lately and you declined (you know who you are) and you are trying to make a point that somehow I’m inferior. Get over yourselves. We’re on the same team, and I’ll help you out just as I would anyone else.
